snow all over

We have been stuck in the house for the past 5 days due to the horrible ice storm mother nature brought us during Super Bowl week. The roads have been awful. Today, we woke up to 6 inches of snow on top of all the ice. The girls were ready to get out and play. First we went potty then we bundled all up in 3 layers to play in the snow. The girls had on a tank top, turtle neck, sweatshirt, hooded zip-up and then a wind jacket, hat, scarf and gloves. On the bottom they had boots with 2 pairs of socks, pair of leggings and then wind pants. They were ready to brave the cold and the snow.


They actually lasted longer then 5 minutes. They had to swing and go down the slide. They even made snow angels. They both had to taste the snow too. It was really powdery so no snowmen for us. It was fun but when they couldn't feel their hands anymore it was time to come in. Poor babies couldn't feel their fingers anymore. They had to cry a little.
