going to see cousins

We left Thursday night for Austin to stay overnight at a hotel because Derek had to go to meetings on Friday. At 4AM, Ava woke me up cause she was confused and couldn't find the bathroom. She was also burning up and had a fever. I gave her some tylenol and we went back to bed. Friday, the plan was for the girls and I to go to the indoor pool and swim while Derek worked. That isn't what happened. We had breakfast and when we got back to the room Ava's temp had come back. Grace and I watched cartoons while Ava slept a little. When Ava got up, we headed to the pool so Grace could swim. Ava was not happy about not getting to swim but she knew she didn't feel good.

We left for San Antonio around 4pm and were there for dinner. Ava went to bed early while the rest of the cousins played.
Saturday, we didn't do much since Ava was sick. During the day she didn't have a temp so we went to Chickfila for lunch and then stopped for frozen yogurt. When we got home Ava's temp was back and she slept the afternoon away. Grace and Kyndall played dress up and I played Wii with Owen. We had a good time.

Sunday, Ava felt better and didn't have a temp so we went to the outlet mall in San Marcos. On the way home, we stopped for Mexican food and a big margarita. When we got home Ava's temp was back. We put her right to bed.

I took Monday off since the daycare was closed for President's Day so we left early Monday morning. Derek had to take phone calls on the road. We stopped at Chickfila for a late breakfast so the girls could play while Derek took a call. The hardest part was getting the girls to forget he was there. He even sat a different table but they kept checking on him. We got back home at 2:30p. We took Ava to the doctor since her temp kept coming back. It was just viral so no drugs and she had to stay home with me until she went 24hrs with no temp.
Grace went to swim class alone that night. Tuesday, Ava stayed home with me and went back to school on Wednesday.
It was a fun weekend to spend with the cousins but it sucked having Ava sick the whole time. At least there wasn't throw up or anything. Just a headache and a fever.
