an apple a day....

Derek and I took the girls to their first dentist appointment today. This dentist office is nothing like you've seen before. It's all for kids and so kid friendly. The waiting room has video games so Derek has to get a little Wii Golf in before we were called back. The girls played with the touch screen games.


Ava was first to get xrays of her teeth done. She did awesome! Derek had to work his magic to get Grace to sit in the chair. He promised her a sucker.
The place is setup with a tv on the ceiling so the kids can see it laying on the chair. They give them sunglasses for the bright light and wireless headset to hear the cartoons. Ava was in heaven. She did so great and opened wide.


We had to promise the world to get Grace up in the chair. Once she had her sunglasses and headset on to watch tv she was better. While the dentist cleaned her teeth, Grace followed with her tongue to lick off all the toothpaste. It was cracking me up! That is normal but hilarious.


There is a playroom in the back so we played while we waited for the dentist to give us the go-ahead. He had to put some vitamin rub on their teeth before we left. Grace had to lick it off as he applied it. haha! They got a new toothbrush, a bouncy ball, stickers and dice. This place is great and makes the girls want to come back.
